Rock the Prom dress

I had put out the call that I wanted a Trash the Dress for my portfolio and Devin answered saying that she didn't have a wedding dress, but a couple of prom dresses. I thought it was a great idea because really it's the same kind of idea, we wear the dress once then it sits getting crushed in the wardrobe for years not having anymore life put back into it. So that is what we did, took her prom dresses for a spin, I'd love to do more and I'm thinking that the beach back on the Central Coast of New South Wales would make for some great rock the prom dress photography!

Senior Session Saturdays #3

Heather is my senior spokesmodel for this year, she's just finished high school and contacted me with a huge enthusiasm for doing a shoot around the city, with the architecture of downtown London and we also headed to City Lights, an amazing bookstore on Richmond. It was a pleasure to spend the lovely summer afternoon walking around discovering new places, hearing stories about certain parts and also remembering what it was like to be this age and how much there is to look forward to. Senior Session Saturdays #2

Jess just finished high school and is an aspiring model. So for her 'Grad with a difference' shoot we decided to make it a little more posed, so that she could use the images for her portfolio. We also decided to make it have a slight vintage feel to it, and we shot in Springbank park which is one of her favorite places to be. Sorry there are so many photos I just loved all of them and wanted to show them all to you!

Senior Session Saturdays

So I've been doing so many shoots lately that I feel I will have a hard time catching up with posting them all. I decided to see how people might like to sleep in on their day off and have something to wake up to from me. It's been so long since I had a Saturday off that I can't remember what it feels like but I bet it would be nice!

Here is something else nice- Sarah approached me a while back about doing a session to give the photos to her parents because she wasn't happy with the photos they had hanging, how many of us can agree with that! With my portraits I always try to make them as personal as possible, so when I asked what kinds of movies she was into we decided that we wouldn't do anything inspired by her favorite genre- horror, as we didn't think the parents would like to have anything gory hanging up on the walls. So instead we picked a lovely sunny morning and went out into the park, explored and tried to bring an element or romance into the photos, as both her and I are self proclaimed hopeless romantics. Here are some of what we came up with.
